{"id":47,"date":"2017-11-22T21:36:04","date_gmt":"2017-11-22T19:36:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.theanimonautes.com\/SOFIA\/?page_id=47"},"modified":"2020-10-27T21:58:41","modified_gmt":"2020-10-27T19:58:41","slug":"bios","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/psychodramathes.gr\/en\/%cf%84%ce%b1%cf%85%cf%84%cf%8c%cf%84%ce%b7%cf%84%ce%b1\/bios\/","title":{"rendered":"Curriculum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<div>The <strong>Centre for the Study and Application of Psychodrama | Sofia Symeonidou<\/strong> was founded in 2004 to provide services related to psychodrama training and application in various social settings in Greece and, especially, in the community of Thessaloniki.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The Centre is the outcome of Sofia Symeonidou&#8217;s professional career in the field of psychosocial support, which started twenty years ago.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>In the course of time, encounters and partnerships with individuals and organizations working in the field of psychodrama have influenced and determined the identity of the Centre, which is characterized by a rich tapestry of multiculturalism and diversity.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The Centre for the Study and Application of Psychodrama | Sofia Symeonidou is an organizational member of the Federation of European Psychodrama Training Organizations (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fepto.com\/%20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>FEPTO<\/strong><\/a>) and a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fepto.com\/members\/training-organizations\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>qualified training organization<\/strong><\/a>.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The Centre is located in downtown Thessaloniki (36, Ptolemeon Str.) and provides the necessary premises and an appropriate setting for its activities to unfold, as well as easy access for participants in programmes and services.<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<h4>Sofia Symeonidou<\/h4>\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-105 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/localhost\/sofiaweb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/sofiaPortrait-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/psychodramathes.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/sofiaPortrait-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/psychodramathes.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/sofiaPortrait.jpg 667w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/>Sofia embarked on training in psychodrama as a method of psychotherapy in 1994 at the Greek Branch of the London Centre for Psychodrama Group and Individual Psychotherapy (member of FEPTO-Federation of European Psychodrama Training Organizations). Her main trainer was Jinnie Jefferies and her examiner for the Diploma in Psychodrama was Ken Sprague. She holds a degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences, with specialization in Psychology.<\/div>\n<div>Sofia has been an associate of ARSIS &#8211; Association for the Social Support of Youth since 1997, in charge of arranging for and providing psychosocial support services for children and adolescents at risk of social exclusion, and has participated as scientific staff in numerous European projects. She worked for many years as a trainer and supervisor of volunteer groups in the field of psychosocial services and continues to be active in training and supervising professionals and primary and secondary education teachers in Human Rights and the Rights of the Child. She provides supervision to the scientific staff of ARSIS and has obtained a long experience in introducing and monitoring new methodologies in support of beneficiaries, as well as in organizing and monitoring the structures of ARSIS.<\/div>\n<div>She has been regularly applying psychodrama since 1997, directing group and individual psychodrama sessions. Since January 2008, she has been the head trainer at the Centre for the Study and Application of Psychodrama, run under her direction, with Constantinos Letsios from PSYKAP (Psychodrama Centre for Personality Development), Athens, as her official partner, and Judith Tesz\u00e1ry as her training mentor.<\/div>\n<div>Sofia has delivered workshops and participated in numerous social interventions in schools and community settings. The basic methodology of her work is the psychodramatic method and philosophy, and the key themes include human rights and the prevention and combating of violence in the family, school and the community.<\/div>\n<div>She is also member of the International Association for Group Psychotherapy and Group Processes (IAGP).<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<h4>Judith Tesz\u00e1ry<\/h4>\n<div>Judith lives and works in Stockholm. She is a psychologist and psychodramatist. She was trained in Psychodrama by Zerka Moreno at the Moreno Institute, Beacon, New York. She is a Psychodrama Trainer and Supervisor at the Hungarian Psychodrama Association.<\/div>\n<div>Judith is a psychodrama examiner and trainer in several European and Swedish traininginstitutes.<\/div>\n<div>She is a partner, external trainer and examiner at the Centre for the Study and Application ofPsychodrama | Sofia Symeonidou.<\/div>\n<div>She has authored: ed. Theorell. T., <i>N\u00e4r orden inte r\u00e4cker<\/i> (<i>When words Are not Enough<\/i>), 1989, NoK, Stockholm; <i>Skapande \u00f6gonblick<\/i> (<i>Creative Moments<\/i>), Cura, 1989, Stockholm.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<h4>Constantinos Letsios<\/h4>\n<div>Constantinos lives and works in Athens. He studied psychology at the E\u00f6tv\u00f6s Lorand University of Budapest, Hungary, from which he graduated in 1981. From 1982 to 1985 he attended graduate courses in social psychology at the <i>Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes<\/i> in Paris, France. He was trained in psychodrama mainly by Max Clayton, whose psychodramatic perception and philosophy he follows in his training and therapeutic practice.<\/div>\n<div>Constantinos founded the Psychodrama Centre for Personality Development (PSYKAP) in Athens in 2000 in view of the development of psychodrama in Greece. He is a partner, external trainer and examiner at the Centre for the Study and Application of Psychodrama | Sofia Symeonidou.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h4>Maro Vassara<\/h4>\n<div>Maro lives and works in Thessaloniki. She graduated from the University of Trier (former West Germany) in 1989, completing her studies in clinical psychology and acquiring the title of <i>Dipl<\/i>.<i>Psychologin<\/i>. Since 1995, she has been licensed to practice as a psychologist. In 2002, she acquired the title of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Counsellor from IC &amp; CR \/ AODA (International Certification &amp; Reciprocity Consortium \/ Alcohol and other Drugs).<\/div>\n<div>Her involvement with psychodrama began in 1994 as a trainee of the Greek Branch of the London Centre for Psychodrama Group and Individual Psychotherapy. She was certified as a psychodramatist by the Psychodrama Centre for Personality Development (member of FEPTO &#8211; European Federation of Psychodrama Training Organizations).<\/div>\n<div>Maro has a wealthy work experience, as she has been working since 1990 as a psychologist inthe field of drug dependence treatment, drug prevention, parental counselling in &#8220;Parents\u2019Schools&#8221;, adult education and training (teachers and health professionals), experiential methodsand mental health promotion of children and adolescents, women\u2019s entrepreneurial empowerment, and support to vulnerable social groups.<\/div>\n<div>In every work setting and area of activity, psychodrama has been and still is the agglutinating factor of her philosophy and approach, enriching herself as a person and as a professional.<\/div>\n<div>Currently, she brings her vast experience from group \/ individual psychotherapy and counsellingto the Centre for the Study and Application of Psychodrama | Sofia Symeonidou, where sheprovides supervision for trainees in psychodrama as a scientific associate.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h4> Pavlos Vasileiadis<\/h4>\n<div>Psychiatrist\/psychotherapist with extensive clinical, teaching and research work.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>PhD graduate of the Faculty of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Clinical member of the American Group Psychotherapy Association &#8211; AGPA and member of the Society for the Study of Team Dynamics and Group Psychotherapy. Former Vice President of the Group Analysis Society of Greece.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>His educational work is addressed to medical students (he is scientific associate of the Second Psychiatric Clinic of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki), including the post graduate students in clinical and social psychology-AUTH, the faculty of psychiatric specialty of the Psychiatric Hospital of Thessaloniki and the third and fourth year specializers junior third and fourth year on psychiatry, focusing in psychopathology, group therapy workshops, personality development etc. He is supervisor of trainees in group and individual psychotherapy.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>He has organised and operated for many years Counselling Station in AUTH and YMCA and he is responsible for the counseling coverage of the Therapy Center for Dependent Individuals of Northern Greece.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Furthermore, he is interested on the field of art of people with mental disorders. He is the Secretary of the Department of &#8220;Psychiatry and Art&#8221; of Greek Psychiatric Association. With initial participation of twenty patients, over the past twenty years he has created the &#8220;Cultural Communication Unit&#8221; of the Psychiatric Hospital of Thessaloniki through which he has organized many events and exhibitions throughout Greece. He has also given many lectures, seminars and publications regarding the art of people with mental disorders.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>He is also an artist with many solo and group exhibitions in Greece and he has with represented Greek art abroad.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>He teaches psychopathology to trainees in psychodrama as a scientific associate of the Centre for the Study and Application of Psychodrama | Sofia Symeonidou.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h4>Olie Partala<\/h4>\n<div>Olie graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
